It is with deep sorrow that we received the news of the passing of Mr. David Vujic, a distinguished American scientist of Serbian origin and the last surviving member of the "Serbian Seven," whose work made an indelible contribution to the Apollo space program. His achievements place him alongside greats such as Nikola Tesla and Mihajlo Pupin, while his proud attachment to his Serbian roots served as a bridge between Serbia and the United States. In 2020, Mr. Vujic was awarded the Order of the Karađorđe's Star of the First Degree by the President of Serbia, a recognition of his exceptional contributions to science and his selfless support for the Serbian community. His legacy of scientific accomplishments and his selfless support for his Serbian compatriots in times of hardship will forever be remembered with profound gratitude. His visit to Serbia in June 2023, when he and his wife Ginger marked 40 years of marriage at the Temple of Saint Sava, will remain a testament to his enduring bond with the homeland of his ancestors. Please accept our deepest condolences, and especially extend our sympathies to the Vujic family and to Mrs. Ginger. Our hearts and thoughts are with them during this difficult time. May his memory be eternal. Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York Dr. Vladimir Bozovic
