Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York and the Serbian Orthodox Church “Saint Sava” in New York have organized, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, on July 6th, an evening on the occasion of the proclamation of the 17 centuries of the Edict of Milan.

 

 


Lecture “Viminacium – Roman city and legionary camp ” was given by Dr. Miomir Korac, director of the Archaeological Park Viminacium. Crown Prince Alexandar Karadjordjevic, who attended the event accompanied by Princess Catherine, addressed the present members of diaspora Father Djokan Majstorovic pastor of the “Saint Sava” Church in New York and Dr. Ljuba Vujovic spoke about the significance of Edict of Milan. A large number of diaspora attended the opening of the exhibition, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Washington, Vladimir Petrovic and the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the United Nations, Milan Milanovic.
